How to make a Shopify batch pick list from an order CSV

A packing sheet is organized by order. A batch pick list is organized by SKU: it tells you how many units to collect across the selected orders. Start from a carefully chosen export, not your complete order history.

Step by step

  1. Export only the intended order batch. Keep an untouched original and remove customer names, emails and addresses from the working copy.
  2. Map order reference, SKU and quantity. Map cancellation and line-item fulfillment columns if using those filters. A blank order reference continues the preceding order.
  3. Confirm the batch has no duplicate exports and that refunds or partial fulfillment have been reviewed. This tool sums exported quantities; it does not calculate remaining quantities.

All data below is synthetic.

With both exclusion filters enabled: SKU 001 needs 5 units across orders #1001 and #1002; SKU 002 needs 1 unit for #1001. Total: 2 SKUs, 6 units, 2 orders. The cancelled and fulfilled rows are excluded.

What to check before using the result

A missing SKU prevents reliable grouping. Repeated rows are added, not deduplicated. Partial fulfillment is ambiguous and must be resolved before use. The output is not a shipping label or a Shopify import file.

Why can a pick list differ from my order count?

Several orders may contain the same SKU. The report groups those lines for picking while preserving their order references. Use your order system separately for packing and fulfillment confirmation.
