How to compare two Etsy monthly statement CSV files
A change in payouts is not the same as a change in sales or profit. Compare recorded activity categories and payouts separately, using one complete statement per month and one shared currency.
Try the free example ↗Step by step
- Download two complete monthly statements and retain the originals. Prepare a copy with only the required activity columns.
- Map Type, signed Net and Currency. For payout rows with blank Net or --, map Amount as the fallback. Select the correct month for each file.
- Confirm both files cover their intended month. Optional date mapping accepts YYYY-MM-DD; optional transaction IDs help identify repeated transactions.
- Preview the comparison with server-processing consent. The included synthetic example is free; a complete report for your own files costs $5.

What to check before using the result
Different month lengths, reserves, opening balances and transfer timing affect comparisons. No bank reconciliation, tax calculation, deduplication or currency conversion is performed. Without mapped dates, period labels rely on your confirmation.
Can I use this report as my monthly profit figure?
No. It organizes supported statement activity. Costs outside the statement and other accounting adjustments are not included.
See the official export documentation for the source platform.
